BRCCI Continues The Visits In Support Of The Labor Mobility Between Bulgaria And Romania

A group of ten people from Ruse, either unemployed or looking for perspectives for new professional development, is going to Romania in order to get to know the opportunities for labour development in the counties of Olt and Dolj.

The event is organized on the initiative of Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its partner, the Association for Sustainable Development, Slatina, in the period 24 – 26 July, 2018.

Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber starts the summer with a new project for a greener Danube

On May 23rd, 2018, the Monitoring Committee of the “Danube” 2014-2020 transnational cooperation programme officially confirmed the start of project “GRENDEL – Green and efficient Danube fleet: environmentally-friendly, effective and competitive river transport on the Danube“.

GRENDEL will have a duration of 30 months and is the second project of Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with Pro Danube International Austria after „DANTE – improving the administrative procedures and processes, related to the Danube waterway transport“, which started in the beginning of last year. New Yorkers today are generally less enthused about mass transit. But the East River ferry is enjoying a revival thanks to a recent expansion and is luring developers to a long-neglected stretch of the city’s industrial waterfront, from western Queens to south Brooklyn.

The Great American Single-Family Home Problem

BERKELEY, Calif. — The house at 1310 Haskell Street does not look worthy of a bitter neighborhood war. The roof is rotting, the paint is chipping, and while the lot is long and spacious, the backyard has little beyond overgrown weeds and a garage sprouting moss.

The owner was known for hoarding junk and feeding cats, and when she died three years ago the neighbors assumed that whoever bought the house would be doing a lot of work. But when the buyer turned out to be a developer, and when that developer floated a proposal to raze the building and replace it with a trio of small homes, the neighborhood erupted in protest.
